About

This blog was created as part of the class Online Social Networking: Technology and Tools, which is a requirement for San Jose State University’s Masters of Library and Information Science degree.  Your esteemed blogger is Marti, who was a student in the aforementioned course.

Marti is the Virtual Services Librarian at a small suburban library outside of Chicago and a knitter of profoundly odd things – never ask “What’s that you’re knitting?” unless you really want to know.  A dabbler in all things creative,  Marti is interested in a great many things which would be difficult to narrow down and prioritize into a readable list.  The top three are pretty easy though.

  1. Libraries
  2. Zombies
  3. Collective Nouns

Note that as far as priority is concerned, numbers 2 and 3 tend to do-si-so about, depending on how impending the undead apocalypse seems at any given moment. Also it is very difficult to narrow down someone’s interests into three descriptive nouns.

The base image for the header was taken by Flickr’s underpuppy and used here under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.0 Generic license.

The word biblionalia was coined by a dear friend of Marti, who is the editor of this excellent publication as well as a not-quite starving author living on the eastern coast of the U.S.
